Senior Manager, Accounting Policy
See yourself in our team This role will aim to build proactive relationships internally with Business Unit Finance teams and externally with lobby Groups, standard setters, regulators and peers. You will ensure CBA Accounting Policy increases its profile within the business and continues to be relevant identifying and addressing issues as they arise. By building relationships externally we aim to offer beneficial advice to standard setters and regulators while establishing consistent policies with our peers.
Do work that matters The role will be responsible for providing: Accounting advice on structured transactions Accounting policy advice on general issues Assessing the impact of new accounting standards and assisting in their implementation for CBA Engaging externally with peers and lobby groups on the formation and interpretation of external reporting standards Ensuring compliant disclosures for external documents Updating group accounting policy Advising senior management and the audit committee on the pipeline of policy issues within the Group Establish and maintain key relationships within business unit finance teams We’re interested in hearing from people who have Big 4 Accounting Practice experience or are currently working in a complex Financial Services environment Accounting Policy experience, either local or international – must be a subject matter expert CA / CPA, relevant MBA Qualification Strategic thinking, process improvement and analytical skills Results driven with an ability to prioritise and manage multiple deliverables The people, businesses and communities we serve are wonderfully diverse.
