About The Role Our Risk & Assurance team is moving to the next phase of building UniSuper’s risk management capability to drive better business decision making. As the Risk Advisory Manager, Program Management, you will be the face of the team within the business. You will form trusted partnerships with the program management team so that your advice is valued and sought to inform the decision making process.
It is critical that your role effectively integrates with and enables Program Management to achieve its objective whilst still maintaining independence and objectivity. You will maintain a ‘wide angled lens’ in order to ask relevant questions, as well as sharing meaningful insights. You’ll be learning from every interaction and will demonstrate courage and integrity when challenging the business and asking the hard questions.
Your primary focus is to work ‘on the projects’ as opposed to working ‘in the projects’. You will need to have deep experience in project/ portfolio governance and risk management, and an ability to adapt your approach to suit any delivery methodology. About You To be successful in this role, we are looking for a real project risk superstar You will bring your own blend of skills and experience to the team, but some of that will include: Deep knowledge and experience in project risk management Demonstrated ability to provide oversight of large transformational projects Expert knowledge of the legislative and regulatory framework governing the superannuation, funds management or financial services industry Relevant qualifications and/or accreditation You also have: A learning mindset & an agile approach – you rapidly evolve your approach to match the project execution methods and needs An ability to drive outcomes – you don’t just flag risks but also effectively partner with the business to identify solutions An ability to build relationships - you create trust and transparency with an ability to engage and influence stakeholders A thirst for knowledge – you stay up to date with the latest developments and leverage this knowledge as you provide advice Strong analytical and reasoning skills and the ability to influence through your strong communication skills What We Offer A challenging, collaborative and fun culture where you will receive the support to build your own career in an innovative risk environment.
