ALSTOM Transport Test & Commissioning Engineer - Substation & Traction Feeders Sydney Light Rail Based in Surry Hills The Role: As a member of the project infrastructure team this role is responsible for supporting the Test & Commissioning (T&C) Manager when it comes to the testing and commissioning of the Power Supply and Overhead Wiring activities and test reports.

Key responsibilities include: Based upon project strategy, guidelines and targets defined for infrastructure activities by the Infrastructure Project Manager in coordination with the Project T&C Manager, the T&C Engineer shall, within the infrastructure perimeter: Manage the infrastructure test sequence in coordination with Project T&C Manager. Elaborate the infrastructure T&C program and procedures. Determine the organisation of the infrastructure Testing team, subcontractors and ensure its management.

Elaborate the testing equipment materials and instruments list as per T&C Schedule. Follow-up the Site Quality Plan determined for testing activities to control and master the Coordination of the teams Lead regular and formal meetings (weekly and monthly) with the teams and subcontractor(s). The summary of NCR (their follow-up and their possible Quality Related Costs).

Lead the handover of Infrastructure installations to System T&C for dynamic testing. Organise and control the substation access including the required electrical isolation of HV, LV and traction installations and the issue of permits. To be successful in this role you will ideally have: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

T&C management on railway project (or HV electrical construction projects). At least 5 years' experience working within the field of Urban railway installation, preferably on Light Rail Transport. In-depth understanding of local regulations and professional standards.
