Solar Savers Program Leader - Eastern Alliance for Greenhouse Action
Temporary, Part Time until 30 June 2019 Salary: $96,055 pa superannuation RDO Location: CBD/Ringwood The Eastern Alliance for Greenhouse Action (EAGA) is looking for an exceptional sustainability professional to lead local government’s flagship low-income solar program – Solar Savers. You will oversee a small established dedicated team implementing the iconic state-wide program and progress a number of emerging funding opportunities to support the program’s continuation and expansion. EAGA is a formal Alliance of eight councils in Melbourne’s East, committed to delivering mitigation and adaptation projects and advocating for initiatives that promote sustainable, low carbon communities.
EAGA has partnered with the network of Victorian Greenhouse Alliance’s to scale-up and roll out delivery of Solar Savers to their member councils and communities. The preferred candidate will have excellent project management skills and proven experience in delivering residential climate change, renewable energy and/or energy efficiency projects. You will have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with experience of working with diverse stakeholders, such as with local and state government, financial institutions and the broader community.
In your role, you will need to build strong and effective relationships, resolve complex technical issues, work independently and lead decision making processes. The position will be hosted by Maroondah City Council, but the majority of work will be conducted remotely at the offices of the project partners within and close to the CBD. Travel throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria will also be required as part of the role.
The 0.8FTE position is funded through the Victorian Government and is fixed term until mid-2019, with extension subject to funding availability. Read more about the Alliance and its initiatives here: www.
