Operational Risk Manager
Sydney CBD Location High Performing Culture Attractive Salary Your new company This international bank are looking to build out their Operational Risk function, and currently have a vacancy for an Operational Risk Manager. Your role will be to ensure the effective identification, management and governance of all risk and compliance issues across the business and private bank divisions. Your new role As the Operational Risk Manager, your role is to be a trusted advisor for operational risk related matters and be responsible for ensuring the effective management of operational risk within the business & private bank space. The role is responsible for driving continuous improvement and optimisation of the control environment, across the business unit. Your role will include: Leading the risk and control identification and assessment across business & private bank Implementation and embedding of policies, procedures and risk management practices Completion of control design and operating effectiveness testing Revision and updating of processes, tools and templates as required where specific to the business unit, and training/educating impacted teams Driving continuous improvement in end to end risk What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in operational risk, preferably with knowledge across/experience in business banking.
You will also have: A strong understanding and knowledge of the risk and control environment in a large bank - Ability to manage a large and varied stakeholder group at all levels of seniority The capacity to work in a busy, commercial environment and the ability to meet targets Additional experience within credit risk and compliance is desirable Strong conceptual, analytical, research and problem solving skills What you'll get in return On offer is the chance to join a business that invests in its people.
