Our client is a local council located North of the River, and they are seeking the services of a experienced & qualified Cook / Chef to run their staff canteen at the depot (leave cover). Starting Monday July 23rd - Finishing Friday 7th September MONDAY TO FRIDAY, 7.00AM - 2.

30PM, $30.00 PER HOUR As part of this role, you will be responsible for; menu planning, ordering stock, cooking, food preparation, customer service, money collection and banking, kitchen cleaning and other general duties associated with the running of a canteen. TO be considered for this role you will have; Certificate / Diploma in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training Recent experience cooking in catering or commercial kitchen operations Thorough knowledge of kitchen hygiene including appropriate chemical use Ability to run the canteen alone, be self sufficient, be self motivated and think on your feet Excellent customer service skills and communication skills for taking orders Experience in menu planning and ordering of stock All candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment medical including Drug & Alcohol on day of interview.
