Organisation - This Government Department serves the community by existing for our customers by providing safe utilities to more than five million people across Sydney, looking after and helps protect the health of our natural environment. The department is a statutory State Owned Corporation, wholly owned by the New South Wales Government. The department has three equal principal objectives, to: protect public health, protect the environment and be a successful business.

The primary purpose of the role - To facilitate and coordinate the implementation and program management of asset and procedural safety initiatives and projects for Customer Delivery. Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures within Customer Delivery. Plan, evaluate and align safety-related business processes.

Essential criteria: • Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO9001), safety management systems (AS4801) and/or integrated management systems and implementation into a business • Tertiary qualifications in business and/or quality management or related discipline and/or experience deemed equivalent. • Ability to carry out audits and gap analysis on management systems and processes • Advanced conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to challenge the status quo, develop innovatively and creative solutions, gain commitment to strategy and lead the implementation • Business process improvement • Computing skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, O365, SharePoint • Process mapping/management software i.e.

Visio, Helix • Specific business process management software, i.e. Intelligence, Live Office • Extensive experience in project management and demonstrated the ability to facilitate/understand and prioritise complex requirements, manage risks and successfully influence • Demonstrable background in integrating safety management system requirements to relevant business processes.

Desirable knowledge, skills or experience needed for the position. • Working knowledge of lean six sigma methodology • Working knowledge of project management methodology e.g.

PRINCE2, PMBOK To be successful in the role , you will have demonstrated experience, strong MS Office skills.
