Data Analyst - Financial Services
Newly created opportunity for a talented analyst with advanced financial modelling skills (Power BI and/or tableau ideally)to join a highly regarded Financial Services company in Perth's inner suburbs. Candidates who have previous experience working in call centre environments or have worked within collections will be highly regarded. This role reports into and works closely with the Executive Manager. Description As this is a newly created role the duties will be large and varied, some of which include: Sharing insight to the efficiency and effectiveness of the operational processes performed in the functional areas of the team. Ensuring the proper execution of daily processes by way of assessing and monitoring the outputs, supporting as required, and reporting on exceptions.
Collate information about the performance of each function in terms of statistical data , and feeds this to the business managers & functional leaders to enable the development of response & action plans, to build collection campaigns, and highlight the identification of areas of non-performance. Working with the business managers, support the strategic alignment of the Credit Management Team by participation in the strategic programs of work. The incumbent will contribute to the successful execution of the strategic plan and its programs by acting as a conduit between the objectives, the people and the processes.
This role will contribute to the overall performance of the functions by use of data driven insights on the effectiveness and efficiency of the processes by way of building ' what-if' models, financial models and champion challenger models to aid decision management. Supporting the team through working with large daily operational data sets to accurately report on the performance of functions and related processes to gain insights on trends and forecasting. Ownership of the production of monthly management performance reports, and/or adhoc reports as required to gain insight into key areas.
Continuous Improvement . Using detailed knowledge of operational processes, identify opportunities for improvements to workflows, better use of systems, integrations, reduced costs, automation, new and enhanced functionality, reduce rates of errors and lift the quality of processes. Undertake all other duties as directed whilst adhering to the company's mission and values at all times.
