Configuration Data Manager
The role: The Configuration Data Manager is responsible for ensuring ICT configuration items are known, recorded, accessible and accurate. You will be responsible for maintaining the data compliance rules that govern the CMDB and the relationships between the configuration items that make up the services, systems and applications used by the business. To be successful in this role you will maintain the ICT configuration management system (ServiceNow) to securely store Configuration Item (CI) data and provide accurate information for Service Management Processes as well as ensure that data sources provide the highest degree of accuracy and maintainability.
Your Key Responsibilities: Develop, Implement and Promote effective processes and controls for maintaining the configuration management system across the organisation to ensure compliance with Asset and Configuration Management Polices and Standards. Undertake regular audits of the configuration management system and configuration item data and develop and implement processes to remediate non-compliance and ensure the database reflects the production environment. Analyse business processes and data to identify process improvement areas and propose corrective actions and measures.
