The purpose of this role is to provide overall leadership and direction to a highly skilled delivery team of Quality Engineers. You and your team will be aligned to specific technical services areas of the NAB, and share a single common purpose to deliver high quality, value adding technology solutions to our customers. You will need to establish strong working relationships with the senior leaders and owners of these services.
Once you have a detailed understanding of the direction they are taking their areas, you will be accountable for ensuring that you have the right people, processes and tools to provide the highest level of service to support their road-map. In this role you will also be responsible for: Innovate and embed Quality Engineering practices to deliver customer value. Monitor and track the Quality strategy across services and platforms.
Lead, motivate, coach and develop people and team/s to enable them to succeed in all aspects of their role. Embed quality in the delivery of $10m of change for the services in the domain. Recognised as a key contributor to the innovation, development and implementation of QE across NAB and in the owned service domain.
Take innovation from inception to delivery across multiple services, assets and platforms in NAB Demonstrated uplift in Quality Engineering off an established baseline. Direct Reports Quality Engineering Managers, Quality Engineers, Principal Quality Engineers, Consultant Quality Engineers, Analyst, Quality Engineers, & Associate, Quality Engineers – providing people leadership, coaching and leadership for quality frameworks, approaches and tools Indirect Reports with other technology squad members as required. To be successful in this role you must have the below skills and experience: 10 years of relevant software development, solution architecture and/or quality engineering experience, test delivery experience in multiple environments People leadership experience of large teams - Excellent leadership and organisational skills to simultaneously direct, inspire coach, and lead multiple Quality teams in a dynamically changing environment Strong technical experience/acumen (associated to or direct delivery experience).
Evidence of strong commercial acumen and experience in managing third party suppliers in negotiation, establishment and management of contracts.
