We cater for most surgical specialties including (but not limited to) cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, major bowel, urology, orthopaedics, ENT and major plastics. We have just opened a new $50 million wing which includes a Recovery ward and staff car park.

About The Role: As part of our commitment to continually advancing the skills and knowledge of our Nursing staff, we are seeking to appoint a Clinical Nurse (RN Level 2) of Recovery. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost effective and efficient utilisation and allocation of staff, equipment and consumables. Other key responsibilities include: Assisting the Clinical Manager in ensuring that clinical standards are adhered to and relevant policies / procedures are maintained Assisting the Clinical Educator in training programs related to Recovery Ward nursing.

Covering the Recovery/Anaesthetics Coordinators as required to ensure the appropriate daily allocation of staff Monitoring standards of PACU nursing practice on a day to day basis in relation to patient care, interpersonal behaviour/teamwork, staff safety and safe equipment utilisation (in collaboration with the Clinical Manager) Assisting with the formulation and review of recovery nursing policies and procedures in consultation with the Clinical Manager to ensure best practice. Hours: Hours will be negotiated with the successful candidate. Preferred hours are a minimum of 67.

5 hours per fortnight. Start and finish times may vary. The role will work predominantly Monday to Friday, early and late shifts and weekend work as agreed.
