Staff Specialist Palliative Care, Shoalhaven Hospital Group
Provide high quality, evidence based, patient focused palliative care services to admitted and non-admitted patients of the Shoalhaven area and their families and carers. 1. Registration or eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australia Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2. Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (FAChPM). 3.
Demonstrated experience in the management of palliative care patients. 4. Demonstrated ability to provide high quality compassionate medical care as evidence by recent practice experience in working congenially and collaboratively as both a leader and member of a multidisciplinary team and as a provider of services that engender high levels of patient satisfaction and experience.
5. Demonstrated ability to work with teams to support and optimize their capacity to deliver services. 6.
Demonstrates a commitment to quality improvement and clinical risk management, actively seek out improvements to service delivery, initiating change and consulting those affected by the change, allocating resources and proactively managing potential conflicts. 7. Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and development, including evidence of participation in continuing medical education/continuing professional development.
8. Current NSW Class C Drivers license. Regular travel required between SDMH and DBH.
