Your new company Established for over 50 years, this organisation manufactures and produces a range of products which are distributed through a range of household name retail partners. Based to the North of the CBD, this is a highly visible role that will provide a business partnering function to the operational management team. Your new role The role will report in to the Financial Controller and will require management of the reporting and analysis relating to both manufactured products and the costs of all purchased products.

You will have complete ownership of the month end reporting for a manufacturing site and two distribution sites and will provide ongoing operational analysis to senior management. You will: Analyse the operations performance of the business and assist managers to improve operating efficiency Develop and implement systems and processes to improve inventory accuracy and profitability Maintain the accuracy of standard product costs for the company Provide operational analysis support to the Production and Logistics Manager Develop a strong understanding of the operations of the business and identify ways to improve profitability Maintain accuracy of bills of materials for manufactured products and product costs for purchased products Complete month end reporting on manufacturing operations and inventory within agreed time-frames Analyse inventory processes and develop and implement procedures to improve inventory accuracy Monitor cycle stock counts for finished goods and raw materials Analyse inventory stock-take results Prepare month end stock reports Management of one person What you'll need to succeed You must be a qualified Accountant or equivalent and be a proactive, improvement orientated person, someone who is a natural problem solver and self-starter. Previous costing experience, exposure to complex ERP systems and excellent communication skills are essential.
