Head of HR
CBD location Retail Managing an established team Client Details Exciting, opportunity for an experienced senior HR professional to join this creative, forward thinking, retail business. This role offers opportunities to focus on the positive aspects of the HR function and ability to influence an already well rounded, diverse and modern-thinking company to reach even further success and partner with the business in a stage of rapid growth. Description The purpose of this role is to design and launch cultural and policy driven projects, manage the recruitment strategies, elevate the business to be an industry leader from a HR standpoint, drive cultural changes with a defined focus for excellence and partner with senior leaders to influence major changes whilst advising on legislation queries.
This role will have at three direct reports however an operational attitude is essential as you will be expected to manage all aspects of your role with a hands on approach. This role reports into the CEO. This role is highly operational and will incorporate a wide range of generalist HR duties, drive initiatives and projects including: Take a closer look to revise and re-boot the whole recruitment strategy Provide expert advice in regards to the people element of business planning Create business plans that educate the wider business on how HR projects will directly encourage performance and drive revenue.
Partner with the business from a commercial perspective, driving results and performance through employee experience Facilitate the end to end recruitment process including selection and induction Coordinate the cyclical performance planning process Remuneration & benefits Identify opportunities for improvements to HR processes and practices Manage any employee relations matters Implement and drive frameworks for continued learning & development strategies Design and lead initiatives to maximise the engagement of employees Create EVP initiatives and drive cultural change Organisational design Motivate, train and coach all team members to better support the business Enable and coach all line managers on employee matters to ensure there is a standardised approach to all HR related issues Profile The successful candidate will have strong and consistent previous experience in retail in a senior HR manager position or Head of HR role and will have had exposure to the full employee life-cycle and led all areas of the HR function with a high level of seniority, ownership and connectivity. You must be passionate, energetic, inspiring and commercial. You must be a true business partner with a strong business acumen and a depth of experience in driving performance across mid-large size businesses.
