Assistant Contract Administrator opportunity at UNSW, Sydney UNSW Estate Management (EM) provides a range of services and advice to all Faculties and Divisions on all campuses (excluding Canberra). It does this by providing campus planning, infrastructure planning, development, construction, refurbishment, maintenance and environmental management. EM also provides a wide range of logistic and associated services to ensure a safe and secure campus environment Asset Management is a unit within Facilities Management that is responsible for the provision of University support services for building operations, maintenance, repairs and facilities management.

Building maintenance services are provided via multiple contracted specialist service providers. The delivery of all building maintenance services, repairs and minor works projects for University clients is managed by building management teams within the Asset and Building Management structure. The building maintenance teams work closely with Faculties, Schools and Divisional management to ensure that the facilities are effectively and efficiently managed and fit for purpose for their clients requirements.

The Assistant Contract Administrator will work within an experienced Asset and Building Management team, and supports the Manager, Contract Management with regard to contract and financial administration of Facilities Management service delivery contracts. This position supports senior management with contractual management assistance, financial and budget management on various projects developing and maintaining the University’s property, building assets, building services and campus infrastructure. SELECTION CRITERIA Relevant tertiary qualifications with at least 3 years applied experience in contract administration and financial management in facilities management.

High level interpersonal skills with demonstrated capacity to establish, build and maintain relationships within a diverse environment. Demonstrated experience in ongoing contract administration, performance tracking, financial tracking and variations. Experience in project management in the property industry.

Demonstrated experience in risk assessment, analysis and management. Experience with preparation of tender documentation, scope of works and KPIs. Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

High level of computer literacy including financial management systems and excel.
