An Army Gap Year Army Officer (also known as GSO and Officer) is someone who is committed, shows initiative, works well in a team environment and has leadership potential. You may have already studied at university or have worked for a couple of years since leaving school. Your training will teach you how to think, not what to think.

At the end of your training you will have the ability to lead and confidently make decisions. You will also specialise in one of the following jobs: Infantry (Royal Australian Infantry) Logistics Corps (Royal Australian Corps of Transport, Royal Australian Army Ordnance Corps, Royal Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers) Engineers (Royal Australian Corps of Engineers) Artillery (Royal Australian Corps of Artillery) Armoured Corps (Royal Australian Armoured Corps) Signals (Royal Australian Corps of Signals).
