Partner Development Manager
Overview Purpose: Joining The Microsoft Team Means… The Partner Development Manager (PDM) role is key to Microsoft's partner management strategy as part of the One Commercial Partner Organization. The PDM is a business development role that aligns to a partner segment and is accountable for driving performance of a managed portfolio of partners by business priority. This role will work as a part of Microsoft’s Hosting and Managed Service Provider Partner team.
This is a senior role that will focus on 3-5 top accounts. Responsibilities The role will focus on building out new solution capabilities, new practices, applications and services. Also joint strategy including enablement, revenue growth and future solution portfolio across the Microsoft development lifecycle.
A key priority will be partner business transformation and DC migration to Microsoft Azure. Key focus is to drive long-term revenue, cloud consumption and digital transformation through a set of practices, solutions and apps leading to solution and industry based co-sell. Qualifications Experience Required: Who we’re looking for… Experiences Required: Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge: •10 years of experience in partner channel development, sales, sales planning, business development in the technology industry •Understanding of Hoster, Managed Service Provider and/or Service Provider/Telco business models •Demonstrable experience in bringing solutions to market with partners •Experience in IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, DC migrations.
CyberSecurity and application development desirable •Good financial acumen and the ability to build business case and financial models around service creation •Experience of managing virtual teams across functions and geographies: Inclusive and collaborative – driving teamwork and cross-team alignment Strong partner relationship management and solution development skills •Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences. •Problem solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, conflict resolution, and follow through with partners. •Bachelor degree required (Sales, Marketing, Business Operations); MBA desired At Microsoft, we believe that diversity enriches our performance and products, the communities where we live and work, and the lives of our employees.
