Australian WorkforcePicking Leading Hand - Tatura VIC Company : Flavorite Hydroponic Tomatoes The Picking Leading Hand is responsible for assisting the Picking Supervisor with the day-to-day running of the Glasshouse, as well as management and implementation of the picking strategies in order to achieve budgeted production levels. Key accountabilities: Undertake picking to ensure target times are achieved Provide support to Picking Supervisor and staff Train new staff at picking as instructed by the Picking Supervisor and apply coaching processes as required Driving picking trolley Manage the training schedule of all new picking recruits Prepare daily work orders in the absence of the Picking Supervisor Prepare daily estimates in the absence of the Picking Supervisor Undertake stock control in the absence of the Picking Supervisor Assist with the development of Picking Standard Operating Procedures The successful candidate will have: Patience and diversity awareness Well developed planning & organisational skills Ability to follow procedures & instructions A passion towards team work A high regard for safety A friendly, approachable personality and be open to learning and feedback Experience in Horticulture or Agriculture (desirable).
