This business are investing in R&D as part of a global transformation journey.
The Role The Senior Scientist Value Engineering Ingredients role has arisen as part of a global mandate to drive transformational growth and as a result of an internal restructure. This new role reports to the Packaging & Value Engineering Manager, with a dotted line to the Head of R&D ANZ. You will be instrumental in enabling the delivery of a sustainable cost advantage and your key responsibilities include but will not be limited to: Driving cross functional ideation for to drive the value proposition via raw materials, ingredients and process improvements Liaising with suppliers to drive performance, evaluate new technologies and identify cost saving opportunities Identifying VE ideas, building and presenting business cases for new projects Demonstrating proven influencing and stakeholder engagement capability as an experienced product developer Leading technical teams as program manager for key initiatives Become a subject matter expert on portfolio products – manufacturing, raw materials, product design and finished goods Your Background To be successful in this role, you will have; Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Food Science or Engineering Minimum 7-10 years R&D experience in consumer goods, preferably food development Sound working knowledge of product development, stage-gate process and project management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Technical depth of knowledge, creative problem solver with robust project management capability Accountable and results focused Confidence to challenge established ways of working and an ability to drive an agenda Lead by example – a hands on mentor What's on Offer?
