The key duties of the position include The Role "Future Skies, Future Eyes" Future Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Systems Program Office (FISRSPO) is seeking two professional engineers to join the team. In the acquisition phase of the AIR7000PH1B MQ-4C Triton project, this is a first-of-type Remotely Piloted Aerial System (RPAS) for the ADF and is a developmental platform in partnership with the US Navy. The primary responsibilities are: Accountable to the Aeronautical & Mechanical (AERO-MECH) team lead to undertake complex engineering activities across the airworthiness program for various acquisition projects.

Investigate aerospace engineering concepts, deliver and manage aerospace engineering specifications and resources in support of the Defence materiel capability lifecycle. Governance, assurance, and planning functions across the AERO-MECH domain, requiring stakeholder engagement with multiple Defence agencies and industry organisations. Maintaining parts of the Engineering Management System and reviewing, assessing and making recommendations on engineering artefacts.

Involvement in the Safety Risk Management Framework, analysing and proposing mitigations for any identified hazards. About our Team FISRSPO's mission is to acquire and integrate leading edge airborne ISR platforms and support the fifth generation Air Force and be ready, resilient and resourceful. At this current point in time, FISRSPO is responsible for the acquisition and introduction to service of the MQ-4C Triton and MC-55 Peregrine.

FISRSPO also works as collaboratively with industry to identify the future of ISR capabilities to support and enable the fifth generation RAAF, be they crewed or uncrewed aerial platforms.
