About the role The Library Technician supports the work of the CDPP Library and Research Services team by assisting with the provision of information and responding to routine research requests, locally and nationally as required.

In particular, the Library Technician is responsible for the monitoring and recording of relevant legislation, routine reference requests, undertaking projects and providing assistance to the nationally dispersed team, as required. The key duties of the position include As a Library Technician, you will have: Experience in a range of library tasks, including basic catalogue record creation, and legislative tracking, or the ability to acquire Knowledge of the legal system and legal research, including legal databases, or the ability to acquire Knowledge of library software packages, or the ability to quickly acquire Understanding of the need to maintain accurate and accessible records; demonstrated attention to detail Demonstrated oral and written communication and interpersonal skills and ability engage with team members and stakeholders Ability to work effectively as part of a small national team to contribute to library goals, including identification of initiatives for improved services within a complex and changing environment The skills you can bring to this position include: Ability to establish and build effective working relationships with key stakeholders Ability to prioritise work appropriately, organise time and meet tight deadlines with limited supervision and escalate issues where appropriate Knowledge and experience of IT systems and platforms..
