THIS IS A PERMANENT, FULL-TIME POSITION THIS POSITION IS BASED IN BUNBURY APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION CLOSE AT MIDDAY ON THURSDAY, 31 AUGUST 2023 Job Description Under the minimal direction of the Regional Manager: Coordinates the delivery of conservation, parks and visitor services and fire management activities in the Kalgulup Regional Park of the South West Region, including Aboriginal liaison and cultural heritage management. Leads community consultation and engagement in departmental activities in the Regional Park.
Selection Criteria Applicants should address the following three (3) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than a total of three (3) pages. Considerable knowledge of, and experience in the provision of conservation and natural land management including visitor services, in developing and implementing related operational plans, management plans and strategies, and having familiarity with the principles of planning and of ecologically sustainable development.
Evidence of highly developed interpersonal skills and considerable experience in the effective management and leadership of teams, and in negotiating, liaising and developing strategic partnerships with the community, local government, media, Aboriginal people and other stakeholders. Considerable experience and competence in financial management and other management systems; including project management, risk management, and information technology. Note: The successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current (issue date not older than 6 months) and satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
