Roy HillGraduate Environmental Officer 23 Aug 2023 Perth, WA, AU, 6005 About the role HanRoy are seeking a Graduate Environmental Officer to join our projects team. This role will be working from our West Perth office and will require frequent site visits. We are looking for a recent graduate who is wanting to start a career in the mining sector.
You will be involved in a wide range of tasks and projects with a focus on Ground Disturbance initially. This role will allow you to grow within the HanRoy team with industry experienced colleagues giving guidance and mentoring, on all aspects of environmental studies, field work and compliance reporting. Key responsibilities of the role include: Conduct monitoring, reporting and inspections.
Assist with the development and review of environmental documentation. Assist with the implementation of the Ground Disturbance Permit (GDP) process across all HanRoy sites. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to: Facilitate the progression of ground disturbance applications.
Assist with environmental and heritage surveys and studies including environmental projects. Undertake compliance audits on active GDPs. Facilitate the management and close out of GDPs.
Coordinate site environmental monitoring programs and associated data collection, management, and analysis Assist with the development and review of environmental documentation. Assist with the submission of internal and statutory environmental reporting including AER, MRF, NGERs, NPI and other regulatory reporting. To be successful in this role, you will have: A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science (or a related discipline) Experience working in the resources sector.
Experience with ArcGIS or other GIS software is highly desirable Map Reading and GPS skills Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook Previous experience with GDP software would be desirable.
