Company : Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd We are currently seeking a highly experienced Security Architect to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity. In this role, you will report to the Enterprise Architect and will be responsible for designing and developing Security Architecture patterns that adhere to data protection requirements, business objectives, and corporate security strategies. Working collaboratively with security engineers and other architects, you will construct security controls and solutions that comply with approved architecture frameworks and standards.

Key Responsibilities: Architect, implement, and support solutions in accordance with modern CyberSecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., SABSA, NIST 800-53, ISO 27002) to align with the Sime Darby Industrial Business and Digital Technology strategy and cost position.

Ensure the Security domain maintains up-to-date architecture principles, policies, standards, and strategies to mitigate security threats and support overall Enterprise Architecture objectives. Apply CyberSecurity considerations to both developed and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions, as well as on-premise, cloud, and third-party hosted solutions, through architectural designs and artifacts. Demonstrate knowledge of foundational technology capabilities and incorporate CyberSecurity considerations into their design and operation, including computer networking concepts and protocols, network access and identity management, network equipment, firewalls, remote access technologies, and more.

Assist tech leads in creating detailed-level designs that align with architecture cybersecurity standards. Conduct security assessments, identify gaps in existing security architecture, and provide recommendations for changes or improvements. Contribute to the development of a disaster recovery and business continuity plan by prioritizing system functions that ensure continuity and availability of critical business processes.

Collaborate with the CyberSecurity manager and team to ensure the CyberSecurity roadmap aligns with operational capabilities required by the Enterprise. About You: You will bring the following skills and experience to the role: Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or Business CyberSecurity Certification such as CISSP, CISA, CEH, etc 3 years experience in a technology role supporting architecture development and/or solution design. Minimum 3 years experience in a CyberSecurity role within an mid to large Enterprise Certifications from one or more of Tier 1 cloud providers - Azure/AWS/GCP (Desirable) Experience in implementing Cybersecurity controls and practices in software development teams and developed products (Desirable) 3 years experience in a Solution Architect role.
