Production Officer/Planner
VentiaVentia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand. Our clients are the owners and operators of assets that are critical to our local communities. In partnership with the Australian Defence Force, we are seeking a Production Officer to work in our longstanding DMSS (Defence Maintenance & Support Services) contract based at Puckapunyal, 10km west of Seymour.
Reporting to the Joint Logistics Unit (JLU) Manager, you will be responsible for creating a team environment with the Work Order Management Administrators that promotes ownership of work orders from creation to physical job completion. In addition, ensuring all work order management related requirements are managed and controlled promptly and effectively and that JLU Claim Rejections are resolved in a timely manner. This role will suit a candidate who has previously carried out maintenance works on a Defence base.
This is a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday (12pm finishes on Fridays). Other duties involve: Ensure compliance with Ventia and contract specific quality assurance and safety programs at the same time promoting a continuous improvement philosophy. Establish and maintain effective lines of communication with the JLU to develop and maintain effective working procedures.
Provide clear and regular communication with team, JLU Manager and staff as well as client contacts. Establish effective workplace relationships. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiencies and best practice methodologies.
Attend review meetings with Clients & Contract Managers Provide Leadership and operational guidance to the Work Order Management & and Claim Rejections. Provide support to Operations in the provision of data and management of work orders. To be successful in this role, you will have: Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to coach & lead work teams.
Thorough understanding of the contract requirements and exemplary customer service ethic. A sound understanding of work order management principles and good problem determination skills. Ability to analyse and exercise sound judgement and coordinate multiple work projects.
Ability to identify, instigate and promote change Experience in defence system - MILIS highly regarded.
