Check out our locations, benefits, and more at cash.app/careers. The Business Intelligence Team is mainly responsible for design, management and continuously enhancing key data assets and reporting under Cash App & Afterpay side of Block.

Delivering data solutions to our stakeholders, the solutions include, but are not limited to: data modeling, data processing, data quality management, intelligent data product, and executive reporting and dashboard. As a Senior BI Engineer, you will be working closely with Product Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Platform Engineers to build and maintain data pipelines, reports and dashboards, data products and data services that support evolving product features of Cash App Afterpay. You will develop strong relationships with data scientists in various domains to improve data transparency and quality and develop a deep understanding of product features and flow.

You will also work with business and data analysts to create applications and tools to maximize the efficient use of all data sources. The role requires strong problem-solving skills as well as interpersonal skills to work across the organization to drive forward enriching our data assets and data products. Ability to deliver scalable solutions with focus on quality, attention to detail and ability to recognise nuances in requirements and definitions is a must.

The role is best suited to an engineer who enjoys being deeply involved in the business process and enjoys understanding the applicable side of data engineering. Key Responsibilities Roll out a data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of data consistency and quality through standards, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture. Responsible for raw or 3rd party data ingestion, analytical datamart data modeling, realtime data management and data visualization.

Develop collaborative relationships with key business sponsors and engineering infrastructure resources for the efficient resolution of work requests. Contribute to the development of analytical frameworks, too.
