Roving Facilitator - Disability Inclusion Facilitator Service

About us Australian Healthcare Associates (AHA) is Australia's largest health and human services consulting firm. We invest in people and enjoy industry-leading conditions and low staff turnover. AHA has secured the contract to assist the Victorian Government Department of Education (DE) to rollout the Disability Inclusion Profile to all Victorian government schools.

The role We are looking for Roving Facilitators to support the roll out of Disability Inclusion. Roving Facilitators are specific roles designed to work across Victoria, travelling between regions to support teams of experienced student focused professionals (Disability Inclusion Facilitators) providing Disability Inclusion Profiles. You are likely to travel and be away from your home location 4-5 days each week.

However, there may be occasions where you are supporting Facilitators closer to your home location and may not to be away from home. When travelling away regionally, accommodation will be provided during your working weeks. Your travel to all parts of Victoria is made simpler due to your preferred location in Melbourne or surrounds.

We are passionate about ensuring the quality of our work and the wellbeing of our team. In addition to facilitating the profile meetings, you will be supported to participate in extensive training and development activities, including: Regular shadowing provided by your Team Leader and other Facilitators. Extensive initial training as well as ongoing training and development opportunities.

Regular ‘quality improvement days’, scheduled during low or no profile periods across the year. Continuing professional support and guidance from your Team Leader. Comprehensive training and support in the conduct of Disability Inclusion Profiles will be provided – no prior knowledge of the Profile is required.

On offer: Excellent remuneration: $120,000 - $140,000 (depending on qualifications and experience) 11% superannuation. Permanent, ongoing role. Work time to be aligned with Victorian school terms i.

e., work during school terms and not work during school holidays. Remuneration for use of your own vehicle.

Accommodation during travel, organised and paid for. Generous overnight allowance to cover meals. Extensive training provided in the use of the new strengths-based tool.

Ongoing training and support. Required : Qualifications as a Special Educator. Current VIT registration.

5 years' experience working with children with additional needs, their families, and their school. Extensive knowledge of child development and disabilities that students may experience. Strong understanding of the principles of inclusion in education.

Understanding of a strengths-based approach. Flexibility to travel to regions as required. Experience in group facilitation.

Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail combined with an ability to work under pressure. Ability to write concise and accurate reports.
