We are looking to fill multiple positions across Systems Engineering, with candidates looking to practice system safety.
The Systems Safety graduate is required to provide system safety engineering support to the assigned program throughout the engineering lifecycle. This includes activities as described in 'Key Responsibilities', while under limited system safety supervision and guidance. They will apply their understanding of technical theories and concepts to help provide solutions to the current phase of the project, while adhering to the system safety engineering process.
Successful applicants will receive training in Raytheon's approach to Systems and Safety Engineering covering all areas of responsibility. They will be part of teams with experienced engineers to ensure rapid knowledge growth. Key Responsibilities - Elicit / refine / document requirements and create verification statements for requirements.
- Perform systems analysis to derive function, performance and interface requirements to satisfy the system requirements. - Conduct reviews of supplier safety analysis and associated liaison. - Populate the hazard tracking system and manage the associated data.
- Assist with the planning, co-ordination, and conduct of system safety working groups. - Provide status and estimate remaining effort for assigned tasks. - Identify and escalate risks using defined processes.
- Provide support to design reviews throughout the program lifecycle. Skills Experience and Qualifications - Requires a University Degree in Engineering. - Ability to work collaboratively with others to assess risk.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.
