We are seeking the brightest minds to join our experienced team working on the nation's most complex engineering programs. Systems Safety Engineer positions are open at various locations including Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide as part of our large pool of safety practitioners. The Systems Safety Engineer is required to provide system safety engineering support to the assigned program throughout the engineering lifecycle.
This includes activities as described in 'Key Responsibilities', while under limited system safety supervision and guidance. Compliance is to be maintained with cost and schedule constraints along with adherence to the system safety engineering process. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to the System Safety Program Plan and to the overall Safety Case.
- Contribute to the completion of program milestones. - Conduct system safety analysis and deliver associated system safety deliverables in accordance with schedule. - Conduct reviews of supplier safety analysis and associated liaison.
- Populate the hazard tracking system and manage the associated data. - Assist with the planning, co-ordination, and conduct of system safety working groups. - Provide status and estimate remaining effort for assigned tasks.
- Identify and escalate risks using defined processes. - Provide support to design reviews throughout the program lifecycle. Skills, Experience and Qualifications: - Requires a University Degree in Engineering related discipline that provides relevant skills with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience.
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering - Desirable System Safety or risk assessment qualification(s). - Desirable to have Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and/or Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) qualification(s). - Experience in carrying out hazard identification and analysis tasks including: - Preliminary Hazard Analysis - Health Hazard Analysis - Operation Support Hazard Analysis - Sub System Hazard Analysis - System Hazard Analysis - Ability to work collaboratively with others to solve complex problems Applicants must be Australian citizens and have an active or be able to obtain Negative Vetting 1 Australian Defence Security Clearance.
