The Role Here at Mars Petcare, we have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Raw Ingredient Technologist to join the team based in Wodonga on a 12-month contract. This role is integral to the team and requires someone with a passion for producing and delivering products of the highest Nutrition value. This is a role where you can use your food science, formulation and technical knowledge in helping produce some of Australias best-known high quality Petcare products such as PEDIGREE®, WHISKAS®, OPTIMUM®, DINE®, CRAVE® and MY DOG®.

Reporting to the ANZ Wet Program Manager you will leverage your technical and stakeholder management skills by collaborating with key stake holders and provide technical execution for the deployment, development, and maintenance of the ANZ raw material portfolio. What would be your key responsibilities? - Collaborate with SQA and Commercial to ensure suppliers deliver fit for purpose raw materials as defined by the raw material specification & material risk assessment. - Responsible for the deployment of globally directed raw material initiatives.

- Participate in the development of new raw materials, completing material risk assessments, updating the nutrient matrix, writing the raw material specifications, and providing the formulations team with the inputs to enable development of safe, nutritious pet food. - Ensure the raw material portfolio is fit for purpose and incidents investigated and corrective actions put in place in a timely and efficient manner What are we looking for? - Experience working in any of the following: product formulation, manufacturing processes, raw material functionality and pet nutrition is essential - Experience in quality/food background - BSc/MSc/PhD in Science, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Food Technologist (or similar) - Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement/partnering - Experience in a business environment including within R&D or an equivalent technical function If youre wanting to join a business where there is scope for career progression, then this is for you In an environment built on mutual trust and respect this role would be perfectly suited for someone who is looking to gain more experience in the FMCG industry or looking for their next career move and progression within the R&D function.
