Here at Mars Wrigley (MW), we are looking for a Commercial Operations Co Pack & Activity Associate to join the MW Commercial team based in beautiful Ballarat. Home to many well-known brands such as M&Ms, MARS, and Maltesers we are proud to make some of Australias most loved confectionery brands. Reporting to the External Manager & Value Leadership Manager, this role will see you responsible for the Co-Packing category buying, strategy and supplier management across both Mars Wrigley (MW) sites in Ballarat and Asquith.

This is a pivotal interface between the business and suppliers which makes it a wonderful opportunity to showcase your natural flair for building strong relationships with people at multiple levels, internally and externally. The cherry on top of this amazing role is the flexibility on offer; although this role is primarily based in Ballarat we also cater for a day or two in our awesome office in Melbourne or even working from home What would be your key responsibilities? - Be the primary Commercial contact for Business Activities for both suppliers and internal stakeholders ensuring both parties clearly understand each others needs and requirements - Provide critical Commercial (procurement) support / input to the activity team in relation to value generation, business risk and supplier capability - Work with suppliers to deliver the best co-pack solution for all activities, and ensure contracts, spend optimization and all governance is correctly followed for the portfolio - Be a leader in the activity process giving focus to generating value whilst reviewing adherence to Quest & activity timelines/processes and when necessary provide healthy challenge to the team What are we looking for? - Previous experience in Buying, Supply Chain, Activity Management or Food production preferred - The ability to switch between competing priorities and tasks and effectively manage expectations - A confident individual who can build strong relationships across a broad network of stakeholders - Excellent time management skills coupled with high attention to detail - Someone with a genuine interest in the commercial space and looking to further develop their knowledge and experience in Business Activities This role would suit someone who is results driven and knows that building strong relationships with cross functional stakeholders is the key to your success You will possess the ability to foresee areas where efficiencies can be improved and have a positive impact across the team / business.
