Software Support Technician
MarsThe Role Here at Mars Food Australia (MFA) we have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Software Support Technician to join our well established and collaborative Supply team based in Wyong. As a qualified electrician, with a current license, you will provide both electrical and software support to the factory operations at Mars Food. This is primarily a factory breakdown support role, with remainder made up of preventative maintenance and continuous improvement activities, and some Project engineering support.
Although you will report to the Technical Manager, you will work closely with the shift managers on a day to day basis and seek guidance from them where necessary. This position is a rotating shift position and will work flexible hours including weekends dependant on plant requirements. What would be your key responsibilities? - Report to, and liaise with, production on maintenance activities including cause and expected time frames - Hand over completed work to production - Provide technical input into Root Cause Analysis of technical faults - Ensure all work does not impact on quality or safety systems.
- Take additional responsibility for the electrical maintenance of a defined list of equipment What are we looking for? - Strong time management, accuracy, and high attention to detail - Qualified electrician (essential) with additional qualification or industry training in use of industrial control systems (preferred) such as Schneider, Siemens, and Allen Bradley - Experience in PLC programming and fault finding - Broad general knowledge of IT systems including networks - Broad knowledge of industrial hardware including 3 phase motors, variable speed drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and instrumentation The success of the role will be underpinned by great communication and building strong internal relationships.
