Here at Mars Wrigley (MW), we are currently recruiting for a Product Developer to join our high performing and engaged Research and Development (R&D) team. This key role partners cross functional stakeholders to develop long-term product development pipelines for our key brands and collaborates broadly to execute and bring new products to life. As our Ballarat site continues its site level transformation investing in automation and new machinery, you will have the freedom to create and come up with new ideas and products, working with state of the art, unique and different technologies to support the delivery of the R&D and Business strategy.
Whilst the role would be based on site in Ballarat, there is flexibility to be located in Melbourne with flexible working arrangements on offer. What would be your key responsibilities? Translate customer, shopper & consumer insights into viable and feasible product solutions from initial concept to industrialisation Establish a 3 year pipeline of product solutions for key Brands that leverages global, local and external manufacturing capabilities Monitor product performance to ensure our products meet the expectations of our consumers and comply with regulatory requirements Identify and drive efficiency opportunities in the raw material portfolio to improve product cost structures What are we looking for? Product Development experience within the food or consumer goods environment Strong project management capability with the ability to motivate and collaborate with a team of peers Experience working in cross functional project teams and multi-disciplinary R&D teams High drive to achieve results and ability to pick things up quickly Tertiary qualifications in Science/Food Science, Engineering or related subject areas This role would suit someone who loves to think differently, enjoys coming up with creative ways to find solutions and gets their energy from collaborating with likeminded forward-thinking people to bring new products to life.
