About the Facility This 129-bed residential home is located in one of Melbourne’s favourite seaside holiday destinations. Perfectly positioned to enjoy the Peninsula and the surrounding vineyards, olive groves, historic country houses and gardens and national parks. How you’ll make an impact They are currently recruiting or Personal Care Assistants to join their team.
Reporting directly to their Registered Nurses, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of care and services to Care Recipients in all areas of activities of daily living in accordance with the Care Recipients identified needs and preferences. A day in the life as their Personal Care Assistant may see you; Personal hygiene, grooming, manicuring and oral hygiene. Continence management.
Assisting those Care Recipients’ with challenging behaviours, by participation in the development and implementation of an individually designed management plan. The Care Recipients’ mobility, by assisting with walking, use of wheelchairs and other aids and transfers. Supports and assists Care Recipients with food and fluids as required.
About you As a Personal Care Assistant, ideally with experience within the health and/or aged care sector, you’ll have: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Computer literacy Certificate III in Aged Care or Undergraduate Bachelor's of Nursing student Previous experience in a similar role – desirable but not essential.
