Principal Platform Architect
Queensland GovernmentAs the Temporary Principal Platform Architect you will be working on the MEDA Platform. This is a new technology for Information Technology Branch that requires specialist capability to be able to support a wide array of Microservices required to deliver Transport and Main Roads (TMR) future state. The technology stack:The MEDA Platform is a collection of modern information technology tools and practices that will enable accelerate delivery of customer-oriented flexible business solutions.
There are numerous benefits to microservices architecture, such as easier deployment and testing, improved productivity, flexibility, and scalability of applications.What you will do in the role: - Lead the design and development of integration and microservice solutions using frameworks and patterns within the enterprise.- Lead and assist in developing solutions that support the following integration topics:o API Integrationo Enterprise Service Buso Events and Queuingo API Gatewayso API and Messaging Securityo Multi Cloud Integration and IPaaSo Integration and Microservice Governance- Lead the development and implementation of the enterprise roadmaps and strategies with supporting standards, patterns, and solutions.
- Provide support, guidance, governance, and assurance over solutions developed within the enterprise in relationship to Integration, Microservices and Event Driven Architecture.- Research and utilise current and emerging trends and best practice with regards to Integration, Microservices and Event Driven Architecture technologies and operating models.- Lead architecture and subject matter experts through the design activities for proposed solutions.
Design activity will include both functional and non-functional components, including software configuration, reporting, middleware/system interfaces, and platforms.- Perform options analysis across complex solutions, then document and present these recommendations to various stakeholders.- Establish, implement, and enforce appropriate IT standards to meet business requirements.
