Manilla is a rural town New England town of approx. 2500 people, nestled at the junctions of the Namoi and Manilla Rivers. Recreational activities include water sports on the 2 dams, fishing, boating, camping, tennis, winter sports, and paragliding on Mount Borah.

It is just 40 minutes from Tamworth and 4 hours from Sydney. Manilla Multi-Purpose Service is a 57 bed facility comprising Emergency Department, 13 Acute Beds, 40 Residential Aged Care beds, Community Health and a HealthOne GP practice on site. We have onsite short term accommodation available.

We have 2 GPVMO's and also supported by My ED telehealth The Role: As the Registered Nurse you will be responsible for providing individualised excellent patient and resident care within a Multipurpose Health Service environment to maximise the health outcomes for the resident /patient. You'll put your expert relationship-building skills into practice, always demonstrating the core nursing values of patient-centred care, trust, and respect in every interaction. Our Facility is an identified NDIS service that will require the successful candidate to successfully obtain an NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) prior to commencement of role.

You will be supported by our Clinical Nurse Educator, and Aged Care CNS2, as you work through our orientation and Emergency Department program with support from other educators and our team utilising online and face to face education as required. You will also be supported if you want to complete the First Line Emergency Course (FLECC) training. We can also provide short term accommodation while you are looking for a permanent place to live.

Qualities and Attributes: Manilla MPS would like a nurse that will enjoy working in a busy Multipurpose Service in ED, acute and residential aged care. If you have capacity to interact with all in a professional and personable manner, and apply evidence-based practice and critical thinking to patient care, you will enjoy being part of a lovely motivated and caring team. Supported by: You will be supported in this role with our Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Educator and Clinical Nurse Specialist 2 in Aged Care.
