Production Maintenance Planner

About the role The Production Maintenance Planner is responsible for the co-ordination and management of the assigned project's Main Work List from the time responsibility passes from the Platform and Contract Systems' groups to the Program Delivery group, through to project close-out. Reporting to the Project Manager and supporting the wider production team, this position leads scope control activities such as the inclusion of new and emergent work into Main Work List and the co-ordination of approvals to cancel or defer work. The main planning tool used is the Australian Defence Force's Asset Maintenance and Planning System (AMPS).

NSM has offices in, and conducts maintenance projects in, Fleet Base East, Sydney, and Henderson precinct south of Perth. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Managing the maintenance data within a maintenance planning tool. (AMPS) ; Raising new tasks or modifying existing tasks in the maintenance planning environment to support new or emergent work; Liaising with Platform and Combat Groups for the integration of New and Emergent work into the Maintenance Work List; Act as project point of contact for reach back to Platform and Combat Technical Repair Specification support; Co-ordinate risk assessments and administrative actions to cancel or defer tasks from the work package; and Support task and platform certification requirements including but not limited to task close-out Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) and reports.

About you Essential Working knowledge and experience of maintenance management and planning system tools and processes. (AMPS7); Relevant previous experience in maintenance planning in a heavy engineering or defence environment; Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and/or external stakeholders in a way which generates business benefit whilst maintaining key relationships; Demonstrated experience in maintaining delivery to a high technical standard; An ability to gather, manipulate and analyse data to support databased decision making and for internal and external reporting; and Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements, with appropriate stakeholder management. Recent defence network access (DPN) Recent or current Defence Clearance to gain baseline level of clearance.

Desirable Experience in working in project planning and software such as Primavera Microsoft Project or similar; AMPS Maintenance Scheduler Qualification. Technical knowledge of ship major platform systems. An understanding of configuration management and asset management principles; and Diploma in Engineering or an equivalent level of experience.

Essential Compliance Requirements Must either hold, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Defence NV1 Security Clearance.
