We have an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Newcastle team to support operations within the Hunter Valley including the Engineering Alliance team at Tomago Aluminium Smelter. Paid parental leave program Ability to purchase additional leave Opportunity to work on a variety of diverse and challenging projects Responsibilities will include: Deliver electrical engineering services on time and within budget Project delivery across various multi-discipline greenfield & brownfield projects. Engage with our client to ensure a successful delivery of our projects and to continue to build our relationships. Supporting projects from conception through to construction and commissioning.
Provide technical support within the discipline team, liaise with the project team and consult with relevant resources as required Identify and report changes to project scope. Assist with the preparation of detailed designs, equipment selection, specification and procurement activities Contribute to appropriate studies, analysis and recommend actions. Participate in site inspections, design reviews, risk assessments, HAZOPs and constructability reviews.
About You Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Project delivery experience is essential Previous experience in the Aluminium and heavy industries (including familiarity with relevant codes and standards). A good working knowledge of the fundamental requirements of electrical engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields. Effective time, budget and people management skills.
