We are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and dedicated Assistants in Nursing to join our casual pool. There will be opportunity to work across all units and gain a variety of mental health experience. The role of the Assistant in Nursing [AIN] within Mental Health Drug and Alcohol [MHDA] Services is to support both the nursing and multidisciplinary team under the direction of a Registered Nurse [RN].

The AIN assists in the provision of nursing care to mental health patients within an acute care setting and provides within their identified tasks direct patient care activities that support the recovery of acute mental health patients under the supervision of a RN. The role also involves the collecting of health care information, documenting and communicating the information back to the RN. Northern Sydney Local Health District facilities are located on picturesque and tranquil settings, located in Sydney's prestigious North Shore, Northern Suburbs and Northern Beaches districts.

The Assistant in Nursing (AIN) within Mental Health Drug and Alcohol (MDHA) Services demonstrates competence in the provision of patient-centred care across a range of both acute and non-acute care settings providing support to both the nursing and multidisciplinary team.
