The school was founded in 1902 by Mr Arthur Rudd, who had a vision of moulding boys to be worthy leaders and good citizens – a vision which remains today.
The College occupies 13-hectare site four kilometres from the centre of Brisbane and educates boys from Prep to Year 12. Desired Skills and Experience About the role Brisbane Boys' College is seeking casual catering assistants for our on-site kitchen. Multiple casual positions are available across a 7-day rotating roster during the school term, 20-38 hours per week.
Shifts may vary in length (3-8 hours) and start time (anywhere from 6:00am to 4:30pm). Award rates apply. Working in the school kitchen, you will be part of the team responsible for light food preparation, dishwashing, cleaning and customer service.
Experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential as training will be provided. We would be pleased to receive your expression of interest in working with us if you: Hold a current Blue Card (working with children) or a willingness to obtain a Blue Card - this is a mandatory requirement Hold a current drivers licence (preferred but not essential) Are available across 7 days for a variety of shifts Are an excellent communicator and team player Have a mature mindset and a willingness to learn.
