About the role: As our Buildings Completions Interface, you’ll play a critical part in our Facilities team by interfacing with the Projects division, working on multiple large scale works for Victoria’s Big Build. You’ll be embedded in the Level Crossing Removal Project, the Metro Tunnel Project, the Franchisee Projects and more, using your expertise to inspect, verify and close out defects, playing a key part in asset handover and acceptance. To excel in this role you’ll need to have expert stakeholder management and communication skills, relying on your ability to influence and negotiate in order to best progress our projects.

Responsibilities include: Review and approve Form 24s (Handover of Completed Project to Asset Maintainer Form) and Certificate 36s (Operational Completion Certificate), as a part of project completions, asset handover and acceptance. Review and provide recommendations to the Facilities Manager for approving Certificate 34s (Project Completion Certificate) and Certificate 35s (Final Operational Certificate) as a part of project completions, asset handover and acceptance.
Write, update and maintain the Scope of Works for MTM Projects End of Defects Liability Period Facilities Inspections. Support the delivery of works by assisting with planning, project management, work methodology and implementation of works on site. Monitor the quality of works undertaken, ensuring corrective actions are undertaken.
Carry out investigations as required, reviewing and managing all investigation reports. Identify and support Engineering in type approvals of all infrastructure assets. About you: Technical tertiary qualification mandatory – ONE of the following required: Diploma of Building and Construction.
Advanced Diploma Building Surveying. Bachelor of Building Management. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the rail or related industry - desirable.
