The College hosts the largest number of regional experts and specialist academic programs in the English-speaking world and plays a vital role in informing public policy and Australia's intellectual engagement with the societies, cultures and economies of Asia and the Pacific. Crawford School of Public Policy is a School within CAP and is Australia’s premier public policy school, with recognised world-class expertise and experience in economics, environment, and development, combined with interdisciplinary strengths and an Asia Pacific focus.

The Development Policy Centre (Devpol) is a research centre within the Crawford School and undertakes independent research and promotes practical initiatives to improve the effectiveness of Australian aid, to support the development of Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Island region, and to contribute to better global development policy. Devpol is responsible for major research programs, development and capacity building projects, outreach activities and public communication undertakings. The opportunity Devpol is seeking a highly organised Program Officer to provide professional support for the organisation and administration of events, workshops, and conferences, and to assist in the preparation of promotional material and maintaining website content.

The position will provide high level administrative support, including financial administration, act as the Centre’s first point of contact, and liaise with staff, students and visitors to support the smooth running of the Centre. Our ideal candidate Our ideal candidate will have experience in providing high level administrative support, including on outreach activities and events, demonstrate a high attention to detail, well-developed written and oral communications skills, and proven ability to prioritise work to meet competing deadlines.
