EnergyAustralia’s Operations Engineering team is the technical & design authority contributing to the achievement of business plans ensuring optimal plant performance and safety management through managing integrated whole of life Asset Management strategies. We do this by undertaking independent reviews of major asset augmentation, providing engineering technical leadership and mentor discipline across the Portfolio and ensure compliance with statutory obligations. Our team are proud to drive a culture of innovation and best practice in asset management whilst developing bench strength across the Portfolio through training, development and coaching.

Be Impactful when applying your capabilities across; Operating in the Principal Engineer role you will lead the Operations Civil and Infrastructure Technical Integrity Panels to promote knowledge sharing, technical peer reviews and best practice, whilst assisting operational sites develop and implement Asset Failure Contingency Plans and monitor implementation and remediation progress. We will leverage your demonstrated skills and experience below to achieve these outcomes; Extensive knowledge of design, plant, systems, maintenance methods used in thermal power stations, coal mine plant or heavy industry. Working knowledge of applicable design standards and codes of practice for in service inspection and testing and performance assessment of critical plant and equipment.

Demonstrated success in leading complex and high-profile projects and translate technical knowledge into business risk terms Demonstrated skill and experience in managing external enquiries (including requests from statutory entities) Demonstrated high level (written and verbal) communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to provide guidance and provide technical knowledge transfer to team members within Assets and across the organisation. Ability to innovate and analyse highly complex data sets, make informed judgements and interpret technical information for others Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Chartered status by Engineers Australia and additional professional development that you have gained through your extensive engineering roles.
