Please note: Due to Machinery of Government changes under Section 30 of the Public Administration Act (PAA), effective 1 January 2023, your employment will be with the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action. Corporate Services, including payroll, will be provided by the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions while a process for the formal transfer of staff in impacted areas is implemented. Reporting to the Head of Office, the Executive Support Officer will lead the provision of high-quality executive and secretarial support services for the Deputy Secretary and the Office of the Deputy Secretary, including managing the Deputy Secretary's calendar and email inbox, coordinating workflow and undertaking a range of discreet and confidential tasks and projects. You will be a self-motivated and committed individual, with excellent relationship building skills, initiative and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work proactively to ensure the best use of time.
You will have excellent administrative and organisational skills, as well as exceptional relationship management capability in order to negotiate with senior staff and external stakeholders on behalf of the Deputy Secretary. You will be a key point of contact for the group. This is a fixed termposition available for a period of 12 Months.
The work location for this position is 1 Spring Street, Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
