Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. Position Profile: This position assists with managing the Clinical Coding Service to ensure accurate and timely completion of coding in compliance with international, National, State and hospital requirements and standards to ensure EMHS priorities and standards are met. Assists with the development, implementation and support of systems required to generate timely and accurate case mix data and that clinical coding services and resources are appropriate for the health service and undertakes evaluation and prepares reports on coding training programs. Develops and implements Quality Improvement and Audit Activities for the Clinical Coding unit by conducting regular quality improvement activities, reporting on results and developing appropriate strategies that result in the improvement of data collected.
Develops, implements, delivers and monitors a comprehensive education and training program for EMHS staff including newly appointed and trainee coders.
