This position has a critical role in both the organisation and the wider community and provides an excellent opportunity to work with a high performing Executive Leadership Team. Key Responsibilities include: To provide high level, strategic and comprehensive advice to the Mayor, Chief Executive, Executive Management Team and Council.

Build and strengthen relationships with the media, key stakeholders, partner agencies and relevant government departments Drive approaches and policies to implement a best practice customer service culture Lead the Communication and Customer Service teams, ensuring resources are used efficiently and effectively. This role will see you make a significant contribution to the senior management group as you influence culture right across the organisation. You will already have an impressive track record leading a communications function, ideally with significant experience in complex organisations offering multiple service lines.

Your ability to develop strategic communication plans and strategic branding initiatives will be highly valued. Leading the development of a culture of high performing customer service As a skilled influencer with exceptional strategic and tactical communication skills, your experience and confidence will allow you to build credibility and trust at all levels. Tertiary qualification in communication, marketing, PR, media studies or a related discipline are required as is experience working in a similar, or large complex organisation.
