Your Impact Reporting to the Financial Controller this role is responsible for payroll and payroll related administration, analytics and reporting to ensure that Gowrie NSW employees are paid accurately and on time; maintaining accurate and current employee information and to support the human resources function as required. The role will also support our transition to a new rostering, payroll and HCM system due that we will be configuring and rolling out over the coming year.
All payroll process documented and updated. All employees paid correctly and on time fortnightly. All deduction payments made accurately and on time.
Payroll records up to date and accurate. Payroll accounts reconciled. All End of Month tasks including: process end of month deduction payments – PAYG, Union Fees; prepare End of month reports for Finance team; reconcile wages before passing the information to Finance.
Perform posting of accrual at the End of the month in payroll system. About you We are looking for someone who is keen to take on a new challenge in the payroll function, has a commitment for ongoing continuous improvement, an eye for detail and a passion for making the most of systems to efficiently process payroll: Tertiary qualifications in business, payroll, or other related discipline Substantial hands-on experience of processing payroll for approximately 400 employees including responsibility for end of month and end of year requirements Thorough understanding of payroll related legislation and reporting requirements (tax, superannuation, NES, workers compensation etc.) Award interpretation Experience with Micropay payroll system preferred Experience with Employee Self Service system Systems experience and analytical skills Knowledge of awards related to early childhood care and education and community services preferred Be able to work in a payroll team of 2 Current compliance certificates (e.
g. WWCC etc) Comply and be willing to stay up to date with all health requirements in relation to COVID-19 The role is a full time, fixed term role until 31.03.
