Midwifery Unit Manager
Orchard Talent Group Pty LimitedAbout the Opportunity Far West Local Health District (FWLHD) is seeking a Midwifery Unit Manager (MUM) to join their team in Broken Hill. Reporting to the Executive Director of Nursing & Midwifery and with a strong team in place below, the MUM will be responsible for providing leadership and mentoring across the cohort. Key responsibilities will include; Managing the workforce and resources of the unit Overseeing the assessment, planning, organisation and evaluation to deliver quality care Coaching and mentoring those within the team to support their development in their roles.

In addition, this position is eligible for a NSW Health Rural Health incentive package of $10,000 per year in addition to award entitlements.
Relocation assistance is available for the successful candidate if moving to beautiful Broken Hill. About you We are seeking an established nurse/midwife with experience in leading a mentoring a team. This ideally will have been gained in a substantive position, or within an acting/relief capacity.
In addition you will have; An ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and work within a multidisciplinary group A track record identifying an improving on systems, processes and policies to ensure the delivery of great care Experience managing both workforce and broader resources (such as rostering and working to a budget). Current midwifery/nursing registration with AHPRA is essential and, as you'll be working within a care setting, a completed primary course of the COVID-19 vaccine. FWLHD are open to sponsorships for any candidates who has full AHPRA qualifications.
