Leading Hand - Production line


To perform Mechanical or Electrical activities including the leading of the production team in the Bogie shop and Assembly Workshop stations as directed by the Supervisor / Manager at the Bellevue Manufacturing facility while using site safety practices. Description Leading Production Teams (Bogie & Assembly line) for reaching Quality, Cost and Delivery objectives.

Leading the APSYS board for the station. Collaborate with other functional teams to ensure short and long term actions are closed out Lead AOS implementation with the team, for opening / closing work orders, raising issues and Aleas Lead pre start meetings of the autonomous teams, communicating objectives and information needed for their achievement, bringing teams problems up and organising their solving. Develop team autonomy: assist operators to be able to manage their daily performance on their own and to deal with 1st level problems.

Ensuring induction and coaching for Apprentices and Aboriginal workforce Ensuring safe work practices are carried out in line with Health, safety and environmental requirement. Ensuring that all work is efficiently planned for assigned work station, controlled and undertaken in a safe manner to the standards set down by the customer and Alstom. Ensure the team performs special process and safety installation within suitable accreditation required.

Ensuring the work orders are met in full, on time, every time by working effectively with planning and supervision to fulfil those requirements. Ensuring correct hours spent recorded on Manufacturing Execution System according to work order. Maintaining a major role in the development and encouragement of the continuous improvement programs per Alstom Production System.

The position requires a strong focus on customer needs, ensuring compliance with the company's policies, procedures and production targets. Improving outcome, quality and delivery performance while ensuring maximum efficiencies are achieved at the lowest possible cost. Using and validating working instructions defined by Manufacturing Engineering team and standards required.
