Rapid changes in the way knowledge is produced and shared and increasing digitisation means we are constantly evolving.

About the position As Senior Coordinator, Digital Library Learning Resources, you will sit within the Library Learning Services team under the Learning and Development portfolio of the Library. In this role, you will coordinate the provision of pedagogically and digitally sound curriculum-based and frontline learning services across all student cohorts and all campuses. It’s important for our learning services to be both pedagogically effective and technologically advanced, so this will be one of your main objectives.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring the Library offerings enable all student cohorts to build digital, information, academic, and discipline-specific literacy skills; and contribute to the achievement of student learning outcomes in these areas. It’s a highly collaborative role working closely with other Senior Coordinators of Library Learning Services (In-Subject, On-Demand, and Discipline and Subject Support Tutors), and the broader Library building capability and capacity to deliver pedagogically and digitally effective on-demand and in-subject services in line with the University and Library strategy. The position currently has 11 direct reports and works as part of a matrix structure with the entire Library Learning Services team to guide, support, coach and develop the skills to deliver this service.

Skills and Experience To be considered for this position, you will have; Completion of a postgraduate Information Management, Library or Education degree; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training; and demonstrated extensive experience in leadership and management in an academic environment. Demonstrated expertise in contemporary learning strategies, technologies and innovation in learning and teaching. Demonstrated commitment to human-centred design principles and fostering excellence in online curriculum and pedagogy.
